Jim
McGuffey, CPP has 38 years of leadership experience in
security management and is board certified. Jim held the
positions of Supervisor, Branch Manager, Area General
Manager, District Manager and Regional Vice President for 26
years in the armored car/cash-in-transit industry where he
was responsible for the management of numerous employees,
facilities and trucks in a large multi-state region. His
direct reports included: Regional Transportation Manager and
Controller, Area HR and Loss Prevention Managers, Regional
ATM, Coin, Armored, Currency and Compu-Safe Product
Managers, Regional Training Manager, District Manager,
Branch, Fleet and Sales Managers.
Jim serves as an expert witness for plaintiff and defense in
armored car/cash-in-transit cases and cases involving
premise security incidents such as assaults, robberies, and
thefts. He is an adjunct professor teaching Criminal
Procedure and Crime in U.S. Business. Jim also works with
companies to provide risk assessments and implement a
security and safety plan to protect company assets and
increase profits.

Jim earned the CPP certification. Throughout the world, the
Certified Protection Professional (CPP®) designation is
acknowledged as the security profession's highest
recognition of practitioners. It is evidence that an
individual is "Board Certified in Security Management." The
CPP® is awarded based upon experience, education, and of an
examination that provides an objective measure of an
individual's broad-based knowledge and competency in
security management. Ongoing professional development is
required in order to maintain the credential. The CPP® is
administered by ASIS International, the preeminent
international organization for security professionals, with
more than 35,000 members worldwide which Jim has been an
active member since 1981.

Jim has 20
years experience as senior manager responsible for the

a multi-state area. Worked with architects, contractors and
security managers to locate, design and open security,
transportation, distribution and manufacturing facilities in
